Starting point
What needed to change
The measuring stations needed to predict wear, share service know-how between shifts and introduce new versions without affecting production.
Our responsibility
How we approached the solution
We created a plug-in for the measurement environment, adaptive fault evaluation and tools for controlled distribution. We then parallelised measurement preparation and label printing.
Part of the delivery
A complete scope
- Wear prediction
- Service knowledge base
- Gradual version rollout
- Measurement cycle optimisation
Impact
What the customer gained
- The number of unplanned stoppages fell by approximately 95%.
- The production cycle of a car key was shortened from 12 to 7 seconds.
- Better utilisation of the stations removed the need for some additional equipment and helped postpone a new line.
Technologies and approaches
- MES
- Predictive maintenance
- Genetic algorithms
